Album Notes & Community Reviews

Slowing the frantic pace of hardcore punk down to a grueling, dissonant crawl, 'Gluey Porch Treatments' practically invented the sludge metal subgenre. The trio utilizes oppressively heavy guitar distortion and complex, lurching time signatures to construct a dark, incredibly abrasive sonic landscape. Its grinding tempo and deeply cynical humor laid the foundational blueprint for the entire Pacific Northwest grunge movement.
