Album Notes & Community Reviews
With production assistance from Kurt Cobain, 'Houdini' brought the Melvins' impossibly heavy, sluggish sound to a major label without sacrificing an ounce of their raw aggression. The album is an incredibly sarcastic and cryptic milestone of sludge metal, marked by its massive, down-tuned stoner rock grooves.
