Album Notes & Community Reviews

Composer Ariel Ram铆rez and historian F茅lix Luna wrote the album's eight songs as portraits of women from Argentine history, among them independence fighter Juana Azurduy and poet Alfonsina Storni. Its best known song, 'Alfonsina y el mar', imagines Storni's final walk into the sea at Mar del Plata and became one of Sosa's signature recordings.
