Bobbie Gentry's The Delta Sweete Revisited

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Acting as a meticulous, song-by-song recreation of a neglected 1968 concept record, the veteran alternative band invites a different female vocalist for each track. The lush, cinematic arrangements strip away the original's gritty Southern realism in favor of sweeping, psychedelic orchestration, attempting to reposition the source material as an unsung masterpiece.
