Formed by ex-members of the beloved post-hardcore act Black Eyes, the debut album from this San Francisco trio is an unhinged, heavily rhythmic blast of dance-punk and noise. The tracks are propelled by impossibly tight, disco-inflected basslines and frantic percussion, violently contrasted by Daniel Martin-McCormick's shrieking, falsetto vocal gymnastics. It is a wildly creative, highly danceable triumph of modern avant-garde punk.
