Album Notes & Community Reviews

Possessing a deeply eccentric and playful approach to roots music, 'Hi Fi Snock Uptown' highlights the idiosyncratic genius of the Greenwich Village folk veteran. The recordings are loose, warm, and highly acoustic, weaving humorous, surreal narratives that subvert traditional Americana tropes. It stands as a pinnacle of outsider folk, cherished for its unpolished authenticity and bizarre lyrical charm.
