Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released on Brian Eno's experimental Obscure imprint, this debut highlights early explorations by the composer who actually coined the term 'minimalism'. The record consists of extremely sparse, drawn-out process pieces utilizing gongs and deeply sustained piano chords that slowly fade into silence. It is a severe, highly influential meditation on acoustic decay and acoustic duration.
