Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded immediately following the dissolution of Japan, the bassist's solo debut centers his instantly recognizable, fluid fretless bass work. The compositions merge intricate tribal rhythms with sparse, atmospheric art pop, heavily emphasizing instrumental mood over traditional song structures. It established Karn as a distinctively avant-garde composer outside the confines of his former group.
