Luminol

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Self-described as 'heaven metal,' the Colorado-based artist utilizes heavy layers of looping fuzz pedals and profoundly slow, trudging tempos to craft an emotionally devastating soundscape. Written largely while incarcerated in a creative rut during the pandemic, the heavily distorted, ethereal pop project examines profound grief and longing with incredibly hushed, distant vocals. It firmly bridged the gap between heavy music atmospheres and delicate slowcore.
