Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released on John Zorn's Tzadik imprint, this extraordinary solo percussion album highlights the profound polyrhythmic mastery of the free jazz legend. Graves completely abandons traditional Western timekeeping, utilizing an array of bells, gongs, and a heavily modified drum kit to perform deeply spiritual, almost ritualistic free improvisation.
