Album Notes & Community Reviews
Functioning as both a visual arts collective and a musical ensemble, the Mnemonists created deeply unsettling and dense electroacoustic music[cite: 1]. 'Gyromancy' relies on heavily processed acoustic instrumentation, tape manipulation, and sustained low-end frequencies to construct an oppressive dark ambient environment. The album is a formidable early milestone in experimental drone and avant-garde sound collage.
