My Story, The Buraku Story (An Original Soundtrack)

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This album serves as the soundtrack for the documentary film by director Yusaku Mitsuwaka, which explores the history of Japan's 'Burakumin' outcast community. MONO sets aside their typically thunderous dynamics for a more restrained and atmospheric approach. The music is composed of delicate, ambient soundscapes, using sparse piano, strings, and electronic textures to create a contemplative and poignant score.
