Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut full-length album from the Japanese post-rock quartet, released on John Zorn's influential Tzadik label. 'Under the Pipal Tree' establishes the band's foundational sound, characterized by the dramatic interplay between delicate, melancholic melodies and massive swells of distorted guitar noise. This early work showcases a rawer, more slowcore-influenced approach to their signature 'crescendo-core' dynamics.
