Wolfheart

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from the Portuguese underground, the band seamlessly blended aggressive black metal foundations with dramatic, romantic gothic textures and traditional Lusitanian folk instrumentation. Fernando Ribeiro's vocal delivery constantly shifts between ferocious shrieks and a deep, highly theatrical baritone. The album's romantic, vampire-themed mythology helped ignite the burgeoning European gothic metal explosion.
