Ånden som gjorde opprør

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Former Emperor bassist Håvard Ellefsen fully established his solo project's signature dungeon synth sound with this sweeping, purely instrumental dark fantasy opus. The remarkably lo-fi, entirely synthesizer-driven compositions evoke deeply somber, highly cinematic medieval landscapes heavily inspired by ancient Nordic mythology. The profoundly atmospheric, deeply influential recording solidified the project as the absolute pioneer of the dungeon synth subgenre.
