'I've Been Doin' Some Thinkin'' showcases Mose Allison's idiosyncratic blend of sharp, conversational lyricism and bluesy hard bop piano. His relaxed, swinging trio format heavily influenced both modern jazz vocalists and British blues-rock acts.
