Album Notes & Community Reviews

Fusing his distinct, conversational vocal delivery with a highly percussive piano style, the artist effectively bridges Delta blues grit with modern jazz sophistication. The stripped-down trio arrangements rely heavily on his wry, philosophical lyricism and relaxed, behind-the-beat phrasing.
