Clear Moon

Clear Moon cover art

The first of two companion albums released in 2012, 'Clear Moon' is a dense, foggy exploration of the Pacific Northwest landscape. Phil Elverum layers synths, guitars, and field recordings into a murky, ambient wall of sound that feels like getting lost in the woods at night. It is a haunting and immersive record that blends black metal atmosphere with folk introspection.
