Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded almost entirely using a Roland synthesizer and drum machine, this deeply lo-fi release finds Phil Elverum drastically reinterpreting material previously written during the final days of The Microphones. The stark, deadpan delivery and skeletal electronic arrangements offer a stark contrast to his typically dense, naturalistic acoustic productions, creating a sense of detached melancholia.
