Originally composed to soundtrack a dance performance of the same name, this brief, highly atmospheric album highlights Phil Elverum's mastery of dark ambient textures. The tracks heavily utilize field recordings, droning synthesizers, and sparse acoustic guitar to create an eerie, deeply isolated Pacific Northwest atmosphere. It acts as a beautiful, ghostly companion piece to his critically acclaimed 'Wind's Poem', released the same year.
