Flowers of Evil

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Comprised of one side of new studio recordings and one side of live material recorded at the Fillmore East, this album highlights the band's contrasting strengths as both studio craftsmen and an unstoppable live force. The heavy, riff-driven blues-rock sound pioneered by Leslie West and Felix Pappalardi is in full display, capturing the massive, sludge-like volume that helped define proto-metal. It is a defining document of their immense power-trio impact during the early 70s.
