Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following a massive career resurgence prompted by the 'Éthiopiques' series, the legendary creator of Ethio-jazz recorded this vibrant studio project alongside the London-based Step Ahead Band. The album elegantly modernizes his classic 1970s sound, fusing traditional Ethiopian pentatonic scales with contemporary Afro-jazz and funk orchestration.
