'Cosmos' is the fourth album by Mexican electronic composer Fernando Corona under his Murcof alias. Moving away from the microhouse beats of his previous work, Corona constructed the tracks using entirely synthesized sounds layered over field recordings, avoiding acoustic samples completely. The resulting soundscape is vast, dark, and highly cinematic, meant to evoke the awe-inspiring emptiness of outer space.
