Born from a benefit concert to rebuild a cultural center damaged in the 2017 Puebla earthquake, 'Un canto por México, vol. 1' reimagines Natalia Lafourcade's own material and folk standards through the lens of son jarocho and other traditional Mexican styles. Guided by producer Kiko Campos, the album’s vibrant, large-ensemble arrangements and numerous guest collaborations create a communal celebration of Mexican heritage that earned both a Grammy Award and a Latin Grammy for Album of the Year.
