Album Notes & Community Reviews
The veteran pub-rock songwriter continues to refine his incredibly sharp, hook-laden power pop on his fourth solo outing. 'The Abominable Showman' features the slick, upbeat rock-and-roll pastiches that made him a critical darling of the new wave era, backed largely by the 'Noise to Go' ensemble. Despite yielding the minor hit 'Raging Eyes', it marked the beginning of his transition away from major commercial charts.
