Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally conceived purely as a gentle acoustic project, Tuomas Holopainen expanded the group into a full metal band just prior to recording this debut. 'Angels Fall First' heavily showcases Tarja Turunen's operatic soprano intertwined with pastoral folk arrangements and developing power metal riffing, laying the unrefined groundwork for their massive international future.
