Album Notes & Community Reviews

Solidifying their absolute dominance over the European symphonic metal landscape, the Finnish quintet delivered a highly theatrical, keyboard-driven opus heavily inspired by high fantasy. 'Wishmaster' showcases Tarja Turunen's soaring, operatic soprano gliding effortlessly over Tuomas Holopainen's neoclassical synthesizer arrangements and galloping power metal rhythms. The title track remains one of the most recognizable and defining anthems in the band's extensive catalog.
