Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Norwegian trumpeter expanded significantly upon the 'future jazz' blueprint of his debut, plunging deeper into aggressive drum and bass rhythms. 'Solid Ether' pairs his icy, Miles Davis-inspired trumpet phrasing with heavy electronic programming and scratching, bridging the gap between ECM jazz and the European club underground.
