Unbehagen

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded under famously hostile conditions following the irreconcilable fracture of the band, this sophomore release required the instrumentalists and the flamboyant frontwoman to track their parts entirely separately. Despite the internal chaos, 'Unbehagen' brilliantly weaves abrasive punk rock energy, reggae dub rhythms, and Hagen's jaw-dropping, operatic vocal gymnastics. The wildly successful album solidified her legacy as the undeniable 'Mother of Punk' within the German music scene.
