Album Notes & Community Reviews

Departing significantly from the aggressive, grunge-influenced rock of their past, Noir D茅sir delivered a profoundly mature and atmospheric masterpiece. 'Des visages des figures' features elaborate, slow-burning arrangements enhanced by strings, brass, and experimental textures, famously highlighted by a collaboration with Manu Chao. Bertrand Cantat's poetic, politically charged lyricism anchors the project, making it one of the most culturally significant French albums of the era.
