Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded as a two-piece by brothers Rob and John Wright, this debut established the highly technical, jazz-inflected rhythm section that would later define the math-rock genre. Independently released and steeped in acerbic wit, 'Mama' is an eccentric, ferocious dissection of traditional punk songwriting.
