Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as an incredibly vital, foundational document of the American death-doom movement, Novembers Doom unleashes a profoundly crushing, deeply melancholic debut. 'Amid Its Hallowed Mirth' perfectly balances terrifyingly deep, guttural death metal growls with agonizingly slow, incredibly sorrowful guitar harmonies and delicate female backing vocals. The record established the Chicago outfit as absolute masters of the heavily romanticized, slow-tempo extreme metal sound.
