Album Notes & Community Reviews
The highly anticipated debut album from one of the leading figures of the vibrant London jazz scene. 'Source' is a brilliant and expansive work that seamlessly blends straight-ahead jazz with the sounds of dub, reggae, cumbia, and soul. The music is both intellectually deep and eminently danceable, showcasing Garcia's powerful and lyrical tenor saxophone voice and her considerable talents as a composer. The album was a critical triumph and a definitive statement of the new, globally-influenced sound of UK jazz.
