Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as their commercial breakthrough for the Westbound label, the Dayton funk titans delivered a remarkably raw and highly influential statement of rhythmic prowess. Pushed forward by incredibly tight horn charts, aggressively syncopated basslines, and provocative, sexually charged lyricism, the album laid a definitive foundation for the dominant Midwestern funk sound of the 1970s.
