Biography
The Ohio Players are a Dayton, Ohio funk band formed in 1959 and led for decades by Leroy 'Sugarfoot' Bonner. After early albums on #Westbound Records#, they topped the charts at #Mercury Records# with 'Fire' and 'Love Rollercoaster' and albums including 'Skin Tight' and 'Honey'. Their horn-heavy funk and notorious album covers made them 1970s icons, and the band still tours.
