Album Notes & Community Reviews

Oingo Boingo's debut full-length completely solidified their hyper-kinetic, aggressively quirky brand of theatrical new wave. Driven by Danny Elfman's incredibly manic, deeply sarcastic vocals and complex, ska-inflected horn sections, 'Only a Lad' is a fiercely energetic, highly satirical exploration of suburban hypocrisy and dark, playful Zolo pop.
