Biography
Oingo Boingo was an American new wave band from Los Angeles, active from 1979 to 1995 and led by Danny Elfman. Emerging from the Mystic Knights theatre troupe, the eight-piece band mixed ska, punk, jazz and pop with a three-man horn section and frantic live shows. Albums such as 'Only a Lad', 'Dead Man's Party' and 'Boingo' made songs including 'Only a Lad', 'Dead Man's Party' and 'Weird Science' cult favourites. The band ended with a farewell Halloween concert in Los Angeles in 1995.
