Album Notes & Community Reviews

The South Korean cellist's debut album, released via John Zorn's Tzadik label, presents an aggressive and highly physical approach to her instrument. The compositions blur the lines between modern classical structure and avant-garde jazz improvisation, utilizing extended techniques to extract unconventional textures and percussive sounds from the cello.
