Album Notes & Community Reviews

Infamously releasing two entirely different albums with the exact same title and artwork, the post-metal supergroup delivers a staggeringly heavy, brilliantly prankish dual-release. 'The Ape of God' completely overwhelms the listener with agonizingly slow, suffocatingly dense sludge metal guitar riffs, punctuated by terrifying bursts of ambient noise and feral hardcore aggression. The album is a profoundly dark, fiercely atmospheric, and overwhelmingly noisy extreme metal experience.
