Daniel Lopatin's early cassette-era release delves deeply into retro-futuristic, Berlin School synthesizer sequencing. Constructing sprawling, cosmic drones heavily indebted to the works of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, the album is steeped in a nostalgic, 1980s sci-fi aesthetic. It laid the foundational electronic groundwork that would soon blossom into the highly influential hypnagogic pop movement.
