Oneohtrix Point Never

Oneohtrix Point Never is the primary recording alias of Daniel Lopatin, a Brooklyn-based composer and producer whose work deconstructs musical history through an experimental electronic lens. [1] Emerging with synthesizer-focused explorations collected on *Rifts* (2009), his sound evolved to incorporate sample-based composition, complex MIDI production, and avant-pop structures. [1, 8] Lopatin's methods often involve the conceptual use of plunderphonics and the sonic palettes of forgotten media, which notably shaped the vaporwave genre through a side project. [1, 5, 12] His output expanded to include acclaimed film scores and production for other artists, cementing his influence on contemporary electronic and popular music. [1, 3, 6]
