Oneohtrix Point Never is the primary recording alias of Daniel Lopatin, a Brooklyn-based composer and producer whose work deconstructs musical history through an experimental electronic lens. Emerging with synthesizer-focused explorations collected on 'Rifts' (2009), his sound evolved to incorporate sample-based composition on 'Replica' (2011) and complex MIDI production after signing to #Warp Records#. His methods often involve the conceptual use of plunderphonics and forgotten media, which notably shaped the vaporwave genre through a side project. Lopatin's output expanded to include acclaimed film scores for directors like the *Safdie brothers* and production for artists such as *The Weeknd*, cementing his influence on contemporary electronic and popular music.
