Finnish innovators Oranssi Pazuzu perfected their 'psychedelic black metal' sound on 'Valonielu'. Produced by Jaime Gomez Arellano, the album blends krautrock repetition and space-rock synths with the ferocity of black metal vocals. It is a swirling, hypnotic trip into the cosmos that manages to be both trance-inducing and terrifying.
