Album Notes & Community Reviews
The fourth studio collaboration between Fates Warning guitarist Jim Matheos and former Dream Theater keyboardist Kevin Moore continues their exploration of cold, mechanized atmosphere. With Porcupine Tree's Gavin Harrison returning on drums, the album relies heavily on stark, pulsing electronic sequences juxtaposed against jagged, heavily distorted progressive metal riffs. Moore's detached, almost spoken-word vocal delivery enhances the deeply paranoid, dystopian lyrical themes.
