Disaster

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Disaster', Ostraca delivers emotionally charged hardcore that masterfully blends raw, surging screamo with intricate and melancholic post-metal passages. The band's performance creates a harrowing, cathartic experience, navigating ferocious eruptions of speed and crushing heaviness with moments of icy calm and soaring post-rock. Inspired by themes of existential angst and environmental catastrophe, the album's production maintains a newfound sonic clarity that enhances its dynamic shifts from frenetic assaults to pensive, atmospheric quiet, all driven by vocals ranging from feral shrieks to death metal growls.
