Eventualities

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Eventualities', Richmond trio Ostraca refines its synthesis of cathartic screamo and atmospheric post-metal, creating compositions that balance brutal dynamic shifts with moments of searing melodic clarity. The songwriting explores themes of aging and the reconciliation of life's aspirations, with frantic, dissonant guitar work and intense vocals building tension against vast, foreboding soundscapes. The production captures a raw, visceral quality, allowing the intricate and aggressive instrumentation to feel both weighty and ephemeral.
