Album Notes & Community Reviews

The session marks the debut recording as a primary leader for Muddy Waters's long-serving pianist. Accompanied only by guitarist Robert Lockwood Jr., the stripped-down format highlights his rolling, heavily syncopated barrelhouse style devoid of a traditional Chicago rhythm section.
