Album Notes & Community Reviews
On his eleventh album, Mike Kinsella shifts his focus from marital strife to broader existential reflections and memories of his formative years. Produced by Taylor Hales, 'The Falls of Sioux' was recorded with a full band, including members of his other projects like American Football and LIES, giving the songs a more dynamic and collaborative feel. The album's sound incorporates more atmospheric and spacious arrangements, complementing Kinsella's intricate guitar work and introspective, narrative-driven lyrics.
