After a brief, highly publicized 'retirement', the heavy metal icon returned with an incredibly dense, remarkably heavy studio effort. The production is significantly darker and more modern than his 1980s work, featuring highly down-tuned, muscular guitar performances from Zakk Wylde and Geezer Butler's prominent bass lines. The successful, highly melodic record notably features extensive co-writing contributions from Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister.
