Album Notes & Community Reviews

Klaus Doldinger's pioneering fusion ensemble tightened their rhythmic focus on this release, moving slightly away from the expansive Krautrock tendencies of their earlier work toward a sleeker, more driving jazz-rock sound. Highlighting Doldinger's virtuosic saxophone work alongside the muscular rhythm section of Curt Cress and Wolfgang Schmid, the tracks are marked by high-energy vamps and intricate, syncopated unison lines. The album significantly elevated their profile internationally, proving European outfits could rival American titans in the fusion arena.
