Album Notes & Community Reviews
Guitar virtuoso Pat Martino fully embraces the high-energy, electric-funk side of jazz fusion on 'Joyous Lake'. Backed by a razor-sharp young rhythm section, Martino unleashes blistering, complex fretwork powered by distorted guitar tones and rapid-fire syncopation. The recording stands as a high-octane technical triumph from a master craftsman at the peak of his physical powers.
